Deputy Head, Store Operations – (Central, Southern, Northern)

We are looking for a dynamic and competent Assistant Store Manager to handle the day-to-day Retail – Fresh & Grocery Market operation. 

As a Assistant Store Manager, your primary responsibility is to assist the Store Manager in overseeing the overall operations of the store and ensure the efficiency of smooth operations as of the company standard.

Your key responsibility as Assistant Manager are to Assist the STORE MANAGER as below task:  

1) Manage store operations and support marketing efforts.

2) Improve store profitability by controlling costs and inventory.

3) Track sales and use local marketing to meet targets.

4) Create a positive workplace for excellent customer service.

5) Build and maintain a productive workforce through hiring and training.

6) Oversee maintenance, facilities, and IT systems.

7) Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and product display comply with company policy.

8) Follow cash handling procedures, including for cashiers and CIT.

9) Handle daily and monthly administrative tasks, including ordering and inventory.

10) Manage store licenses and legal compliance with government authorities.

11) Handle routine administrative tasks and inventory management.

12) Ensure the store follows all laws to prevent legal issues or penalties from local authorities.

Requirements and skills:

1. SPM and above

2. Proven experience as a Assistant Store Manager or in a similar role for 3 years and above

3. Strong leadership and organizational skills.

4. Excellent problem-solving abilities.

5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Proficiency in operational procedures and inventory management.

7. Knowledge of marketing and promotional strategies.

8. Ability to motivate and train staff

9. Attention to detail

10. Understanding of government regulations and compliance

11. Familiarity with cash handling and financial control

12. Computer literate (Microsoft Office: Words, Excel)

Salary range RM 3050 to RM 4450
