Job Summary:
Manage and optimize distribution center’s daily operations, workflows, stock management, HR development, and compliance within the Distribution Centre, while driving efficiency, cost reduction, and supporting special projects to meet the group’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, organize and manage daily, weekly and monthly routine processes, assignment, duties, and task at receiving, put away, storage, picking, sorting, allocate, checking, and loading departments.
- Review and improve operational SOPs based on input and findings from the Distribution Centre (DC) management team and departments/section person in charge.
- Review and propose improvement to DC operational workflow based on analysis of all daily, weekly and monthly reports and records.
- Recap and revisit all record, reports and documentation keeping process for easy access verification and audit purposes.
2. Handling daily, weekly, monthly, or ad hoc requirements for presentation, discussion, meetings, or ZOOM meetings to follow thru on any current or new assignment, task, and special projects.
- Review and summarize all daily, weekly, monthly or ad hoc reporting and documentation in detail for DC based on feedback from DC management team, business units or stores.
- Review and summarize the compilation of all the final findings/root cause/assessment before submitting solutions during any presentation, discussion or meetings.
- Propound and share an agreeable recommendation and finalization of next steps for closure of current or pending issues during presentation, discussion or meeting.
3. Ensuring talent development, promoting sound, safe and secure feeling at workplace.
- Review and recommend together with HR DC on agreeable human resources development plans to be implemented for DCs.
- Review and assess daily, weekly or monthly talent development efforts/project as per respective DC HR department guidelines.
- Finalize the findings and results of talent assessment, development programs and talent reviews.
- Ensure workplace’s safety & security but not limited to the implementation of OSHA practices, DC HR Guidelines, and other improvement required by DC management team.

7. Plan and improve the compliance and efficiency of collection from stores and delivery equipment to DCs by transporters while ensuring quantity of equipment for DXs use.
- Review the findings of equipment collect from stores and propose improvements.
- Review the findings of delivery of equipment to DCs by transporter and follow up with PICs.
- Review the success of equipment delivery before 12 midnight to DC Bukit Beruntung for all equipment.
- Review and improve the equipment banks quantity hold in DCs.
- Review and improve the overall quantity of equipment.
8. Improve stock management for DCs in terms of losses or shrinkages in collaboration with Inventory Audits and Loss Prevention division.
- Review and improved DCs stock counts process and compliance.
- Review and actioned to improve on the DA issued by stores compliance via introducing new measures and get LP to advice how to action on critical root causes.
9. Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by the Management.
Qualification & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineer or any other relevant fields.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years as a Manager in a Distribution Centre, with prior experience in fresh, ambient, dry, or frozen environments within warehousing, distribution, or retail businesses.
