Learning and Development Instructional Designer
Job Summary
The Learning and Development Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective learning solutions that support organizational goals and employee performance. This role ensures that all training content—whether digital, classroom-based, or blended—is instructionally sound, learner centered, and aligned with business objectives. The Instructional Designer partners with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to analyze learning needs, create innovative instructional materials, and evaluate learning effectiveness to drive continuous improvement and capability development across the organization
Responsibilities:
- Instructional Design & Development
- Design and develop engaging, learner-centered instructional materials for various delivery modes
- Apply adult learning principles, instructional design models and learning technologies to create effective learning experiences.
- Develop learning assets such as facilitator guides, learner workbooks, assessments, and multimedia content.
- Content Management & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all learning content aligns with organizational goals, branding, and quality standards.
- Review and update existing training materials to maintain relevance and accuracy.
- Conduct pilot tests and implement feedback for continuous improvement
- Evaluation & Reporting
- Measure training effectiveness using evaluation frameworks
- Analyze learner feedback and performance data to improve instructional design strategies.
- Provide regular progress and impact reports to stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Training, and departmental teams to align learning interventions with business strategy.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and promote a culture of continuous learnin
Qualifications :
- Minimum Diploma in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, Communication, Psychology, or arelated field.
- Professional certification in Instructional Design, eLearning Development, or Training (e.g., ATD, CIPD, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in instructional design, learning development, or corporate training.
- Proven experience designing and developing e-learning, blended, and instructor-led training programs.
- Demonstrated ability to apply adult learning principles and other instructional design methodologies.
- Experience collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and cross-functional teams to deliver learning
solutions aligned with business goals.
